New Plymouth tattoo convention was fucking sweet! My brother and best mate Sean went over to have fun and a lot of laughs. I laughed so fucking hard my throat hurts. New Plymouth looks amazing. A massive mountain on one side and the ocean on the other with a small town in between.
We got in after a long day of transfers and shitty food on planes . We slept very little and partied just enough to keep going all through the whole weekend. We met some great people.
Thanks to all the people who came and got tattooed. All the people I tattooed were easy going and having a good time. Thanks and see you guys next time!

Shit has been happening! I got a new camera Nikon d90. It's a really great camera. Tattooing a little less but a lot of on going stuff and drawings to be done.
Phoenix , it's going to be a long time before this is done so I'll upload in progress stuff. The back piece had already a few feathers, the task then was to add a phoenix to the feathers, not an easy task!! I drew some stuff up passed it around the studio to get some feed back and re-draw ideas.
Lots of on going tattoos so not much to post. In time, in time.

I love working at my desk. Sitting for hours trying to get drawings done for tattoos, all the while listing to some type of yammer from someone's face. I don't often listen to music due to having that all day at the shop. I like to mix it up.

I have been contemplating upgrading my camera. The amount of noise in low light has been frustrating with the Nikon d70s( oh yes I just through in some geeky camera name).
So I thought I will take some photos to see if I really should? Or I should learn to take better photos....Conclusion: Buy new camera!!!

Off work today so posting some photos and watching GG Allin's last interview. Not that into it really bad early 90s talk show gg just screaming he is god. That is the same thing he was against, Idols
so basic contradiction, boring.But I think lead singers should go fucking nuts on stage, come on entertain me. I have a problem thinking these bands are so anti audience, "I'm doing it for me" bullshit. Attention, that's partly why they do it. Just say that. Nothing wrong with that. Always reminds me of that move SFW with Steven Dorff ha that's a a throw back.

Great day in the shop awesome tattoos done by all. Geordie doing some large work on Simon (Photos below). William doing one after another all day. Sean also working on larger pieces. Danny was busy getting things completed before heading to the states next week. I tattooed a first timer getting gold fish . Fun tattoo. Jana was dreaming about a bag while hearing from different booths "Hey JAaaaNA".
Owen and Caleb are slaying it in Europe I can only imagine the partying going on!!!

This was done at the world famous Tattoo studio Tattoo Magic. I have been working there on and off over the last few months... Amazing, I'm learning a lot. It's one of the most relaxed studios I have ever worked in. Man they get a lot of tattoos done. Back to the tattoo, it's of the comic book character the crow.

A few new Tattoos. First up is on a good friend Sean. I'm really into the tradition American style of tattoos. Lots of black and a strong outline. Over the last five years I have been trying to find my style or a direction to go in for the future.
I like tattooing most things but I can not master them all!!! The ideal direction would be Japanese and traditional American. I really like what Thomas Hooper and Duncan X are doing as well. I have had almost a week off tattooing.... Still trying to find that balance between giving the customer their ideas but also teaching them that some things just do not Tattoo well.
